fashion illustration

sometimes you forget that fashion illustration still exists. when i went to f.i.t. i had the pleasure of being taught by one of the few notable fashion illustrators of fashion's "hey-day" if you will . he has his own book out (had no shame promoting it and insisting we buy it during our first day of class) and he is probably the only few left who has such a talent.

except this talented lady, nadeesha godamunne (work above) seemed to have gotten it right. her illustrations are epic and if i had a bigger apartment i'd probably order a 2x2 to put on my wall.

truly it is. i have been meaning to blog again for a while. i even created a new one on tumblr (forgive me blogspot) but that blog never took off, i got as far as designing the lay out (i know, i would).

you all know from my past posts, i have a strong passion for art, music, fashion and love, however, within the past two years i found another passion, travel.

no this will not become a blog all about my world travels, although i must say i have been on some pretty fancy vacations in the past two years. florence, paris, layover in germany (okay maybe not so fancy but i got to go on the biggest plane in the world), barcelona, rome, venice. yes all those pretty places in the great EU.

i have to consider myself lucky. not many people will get to go where i have already been in life. i have traded my extravagant, sometimes ridiculous and painful-to-my-bank-account shopping sprees for last minute plane tickets.

sure my bank account still suffered but was it worth the experience?

but no worries, i have a fair share of lovely fashion, music, art related posts that will fulfill your creative soul and give you a good reason to dance or smoke, or whatever gives you kicks.
