can I get a caddy from the caddy ranch?

so i found out some really cool info recently, there is a Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo,Texas on the famous Route 66.

being a cadillac fan I found this to be extremely cool.

there have been many myths to how this unique installation began but the true story lies here.

Texas millionaire, Stanley Marsh 3 whom refers to himself as "eccentric" invited a San Francisco group of artists named the "Ant Farm" to help him out with his property west of Amarillo.

the group purchased ten cadillacs from various junkyards, models from 1948 to 1963, at the time these beauties only cost $200.

the cars were hoisted nose first along the west side of the highway.

the cars were meant to represent the "Golden Age" of American automobiles.

the project was complete in 1974 and began attracting people worldwide.
the original colors were turquoise, red, banana yellow and gold.
of course when people started coming to see these cars they began leaving their marks, however, Marsh didn't and never minded people leaving a piece of their trip with the cars.

To this day he says, "we think it looks better every year".

check out the cars below, their pretty cool.
